West Virginia State Wildlife Center celebrates West Virginia Day with free cake and drinks

BUCKHANNON — The West Virginia State Wildlife Center is hosting a celebration for West Virginia Day on Thursday, June 20, featuring free cake, drinks and appearances by French Creek Freddie.

The event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the center — 163 Wildlife Road, French Creek, WV 26218 — promises to be a treat for visitors of all ages. French Creek Freddie is scheduled to make his appearance from 11 a.m. to noon., with photo opportunities available.

Admission to the Wildlife Center will include a piece of cake and a choice of lemonade or tea, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Wildlife Biologist Trevor Moore shared his enthusiasm for the event on social media, encouraging everyone to join in the festivities.
