A West Virginia State Trooper has been arrested on domestic battery and felony strangulation charges, according to a press release issued Friday evening.

“On Friday, February 24, 2023, Joseph Comer, a current member of the West Virginia State Police, was arrested and charged with domestic battery and felony strangulation,” the release states. “Mr. Comer turned himself in to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and was arraigned in Jackson County Magistrate Court. Mr. Comer is currently out on a $30,000 bond.”
