TENNERTON – Three Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers landed on the West Virginia Sports Writers Association (WVSWA) All-State Baseball Team this week.
Junior Brody McDaniels was named to the First Team while junior Jaxon Spratt was selected to the Second Team and senior Jerin Westfall was named to the Honorable Mention Team.
McDaniels made the First Team as an infielder. He led the team in hitting with a .479 batting average with 19 extra base hits. He hit five home runs and drove in 39 runs while scoring 24. On the mound, he went 3-3 with a 3.63 earned-run average.
Spratt was named to the infield on the Second Team. He was second on the team in hitting with a .459 average. He collected 21 extra base hits with a team-leading six home runs and 41 RBIs. He scored 12 runs. On the mound he posted a 1-2 mark with a 2.68 earned run average.

Westfall, being placed on the Honorable Mention Team, was third in team hitting with a .404 average with 11 extra base hits. He had one home run with 15 RBIs, scoring 32 times. On the mound, he compiled a 4-2 record with a 6.69 earned-run average.
The Bucs posted a 14-15 record.
Sophomore Jon Fala of George Washington was named captain of the First Team while sophomore Kai Henkins of Morgantown was named captain of the Second Team.
