Wesleyan women’s soccer team has six-game unbeaten streak ended by Wheeling in 1-0 loss

BUCKHANNON — The West Virginia Wesleyan women’s soccer team had its six-game undefeated streak end Wednesday at the hands of Wheeling University, 1-0.

The match’s lone goal came in the second half at 50:20 by Mary DiFonzo with assists to Olivia Hoban and Talynn DeBartolo.

The teams drew even on shots with 10 each and corners were in favor of Wesleyan 5-2.

The Lady Bobcats (5-5-2, 3-4-2) travel to Frostburg State University for a 1 p.m. kickoff on Sunday, Oct. 20.
