Wesleyan announces 2022 baseball schedule

BUCKHANNON, W.Va.– West Virginia Wesleyan baseball and head coach Lee Bradley released their 2022 schedule this weekend. The ‘Cats are scheduled for 14 home contests at Hank Ellis Field during the 2022 campaign.
 
The Bobcats kick their season off in Winter Haven, Fla., on Saturday (Mar. 5) against the University of Findlay Oilers. That begins a run of 12 games in eight days down in The Sunshine State.
 
Wesleyan returns home for Mountain East Conference play, beginning with an away series against Frostburg State on March 19th. Bobcat fans get their first look at Bradley when they take on the Cardinals from Wheeling in their home opener on March 26th.
 
The Orange & Black welcome Wheeling, West Liberty, Charleston, and West Virginia State to Hank Ellis Field, before finishing the regular season with a home and home series against Davis & Elkins on Sunday (May. 8).

School bus crashes on Route 20 after hitting black ice; one child taken to hospital

A school bus carrying 25 students slid on black ice on Route 20 Wednesday morning and went off the road, according to Upshur County Sheriff Mike Coffman. All students were checked at the scene, and one child was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital with minor injuries.
