Wesleyan and West Liberty battle to 0-0 draw in men’s soccer

BUCKHANNON — After a 0-0 draw with visiting West Liberty University on Sunday, the Bobcat men will have a chance to host a first round playoff in the Mountain East Conference championship but to do so they will have to defeat Davis and Elkins College Wednesday, Nov. 1 in the season finale.

A victory would launch Wesleyan from a current 5th place standing to third which would give the Bobcats hosting rights to the sixth place squad.

The Bobcats lost its earlier contest with the Senators, 2-0, on Sept. 23. Davis and Elkins holds third place with 20 conference points while Wesleyan has 18.

The rematch kicks off at 7 p.m. from Culpepper Stadium in Buckhannon.
