Jack Waggy led the Bucs with an impressive run taking second place with a time of 18:44.65 while Joey Nolte was sixth with a clocking of 19:36.67 while Alex Sappey was seventh with a time of 20:01.57.

“Jack had a really good race going but tightened up toward the end,” noted Buckhannon-Upshur head coach Taylor Stacy. “Alex and Joey both have made huge gains since this time last year.”

As a team, the Bucs placed third with 68 points.

Elkins won their own event with 30 points while Hampshire was runner-up with 46 points.

“It was a good race for both the boys,” concluded Stacy. “It was a good showing and helps us to gauge our middle of the season fitness levels.
