Vivian Lee Finster

Vivian Lee Finster, 91, of Weston went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 10, 2021. She passed in the comfort of her home with her loving family by her side.

Vivian was born in Rosedale on September 7, 1930, a daughter of the late Cecil Jarvis and Virgie King Jarvis.

On June 4, 1950, she married the love of her life, Francis William Finster. Vivian missed him dearly after his passing on October 18, 2011.

In addition to her parents and husband, Vivian was preceded in death by one great-grandchild; and four siblings: Donna Brown, Ronald Jarvis, Doloris Lowe, and Judith Rollyson.

Forever cherishing their memories of Vivian’s strong willed and sociable nature are three children: Richard Finster and wife, Betty, of Weston, Janet Aylestock and husband, Larry, of Buckhannon, and Mary Hagy of Weston; nine grandchildren: Diane McCallister, Lisa Skiles, Amy Finster, Jamie Cutright, Richard Finster Jr., Jamey Dee Hagy, Journey Callaway, Sara Aylestock Gaither, and James Aylestock; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three siblings: Susan Roberts of Millstone, Roger Jarvis and wife, Judy, of Mt. Zion, and Karen Roberts and husband, Kenny, of Five Forks; and several nieces and nephews.

Vivian spent her days caring for her home and family. She was a long-time member of the Waldeck United Methodist Church and enjoyed socializing with her friends at the Lewis County Senior Center while playing cards and BINGO. Vivian also enjoyed quilting one-of-a-kind family heirlooms and shopping. 

Family and friends will gather for Visitation at Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service located at 144 Hackers Creek Rd. in Jane Lew from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. Funeral Services will begin at 1 p.m. in the Pat Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Russell Furr officiating. Interment will follow at Waldeck United Methodist Church Cemetery in Weston.
