Virginia Pearl Rice

Virginia Pearl Rice, 84, of Buckhannon, W.Va., died Monday, January 25, 2021, at Holbrook Health Care Center in Buckhannon.

She was born December 24, 1936, in Lumberport, W.Va., a daughter of the late Carl and Inez Mills Price.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Lynn Williams; her second husband, Calvin Rice and her brother Donald Price.

She is survived by three sons, Ronald P. Williams and wife Sandra, Michael Williams and wife Tracey and Brian Williams all of Buckhannon; two daughters, Christina Gaudet and husband Brian of Buckhannon and Cynthia Stevenson and husband John of Baltimore, Md.; one step-son, Rickie E. Rice of Rock Cave, W.Va.; one step-daughter, Karen Persinger and husband Clay of Buckhannon; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, David Price of Fairmont, W.Va. and one sister, Shirley McCarty of Kingwood, W.Va.

Mrs. Rice graduated from Lumberport High School in 1954 and attended Fairmont State College. She was an accountant for the Adrian Buckhannon Bank and a CNA for the Senior Center. Mrs. Rice was a member of the Christian Fellowship Church and the Ladies of the Moose.

Friends will be received Sunday, January 31, 2021 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. A private burial will take place for the family in the Lion’s Club Cemetery in Lumberport, W.Va.
