Virginia Mae Andrews

Virginia Mae Andrews, 82, of Center Township, Pa. passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born on May 31, 1940 in Buckhannon, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Harold Rae and Hazel (Wilford) Loudin. Following graduation from Buckhannon High School in 1958, she and Franklin D. Andrews were united in marriage. Virginia liked to sew, crochet and paint and was a member of the Beaver County Piecemakers Quilt Club. She was also a member and Treasurer of the Center Township 3 Fire Department Auxiliary. Years ago, she was a Girl Scout leader when her daughter, Valerie was in scouts. Virginia was employed for over 20 years with R.J. Rhodes Transit, Inc. as a school bus driver.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin D. Andrews, Sr. on September 5, 2016 and a son, Franklin D. Andrews, Jr. She leaves her daughter, Valerie Andrews of Center Township and her dog, Randy. She also leaves several cousins: Fern Watson, Katie and husband Roscoe Robinson, Cathy Kennedy, John Salamon, and Joe and Martha McKisic. Two sisters in law, Gathel Sanders and Vera Evans. Several nieces and nephews and two special friends Brooke Elliott and Linda Reynolds.

Friends will be received on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 11 am until the time of services at 1 pm at Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel. Virginia’s nephew, Reverend George Patrick Andrews will officiate. Interment will follow in Wimer Cemetery, Crawford, WV.

The family has suggested memorial contributions be made, if desired to Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Road, Aliquippa, PA. 15001.
