Virginia (Ginny) Marguerite White

Virginia (Ginny) Marguerite White was born September 15, 1928, in Buckhannon, WV. She passed away on April 8, 2024, at WV Caring Hospice in Elkins, WV, a daughter of the late John and Rosa Bevcic Grill.

On May 1, 1948, she married Ross C. White, who preceded her in death on February 18, 2005.

She is survived by four children, Calvin (Judy) White of Buckhannon, Stewart (Carol) White of Clarksburg, WV, Mark White of Buckhannon and Rosalie (Chuck) Ashcraft of Walker, WV; six grandchildren, Christine (Jim) Knibloe of Bethel Park, PA, Joe White of Clarksburg, WV,  Leslie (Les) White of Lynchburg, VA, Jeff (Valerie) White of Centennial Colorado, Nathaniel (Morgan) Ashcraft of Mineral Wells, WV and Olivia (Sean) Harris of Parkersburg, WV; seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John Grill, Jr., Mack Grill and Joseph Grill. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Mrs. White enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes, gardening, crocheting, and taking care of her family.

Friends will be received Friday, April 12, 2024, from 11 AM until 12 Noon at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 12 Noon Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Ed Lowther officiating. Burial will follow in Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon.
