BUCKHANNON — On this upcoming Saturday, March 16, the quarterly Veterans Appreciation Breakfast will be held at the American Legion Post, 16 S. Kanawha Street in Buckhannon (next to Kanawha Theater). They will be serving from 8 a.m. until noon.

This is a free breakfast for all veterans and their immediate family (spouses and minor children). They do appreciate donations to the Veterans Appreciation Fund that supports these breakfasts and other Veteran oriented programs.

You do not need to be an American Legion member to attend. Post 7 works for all veterans. There will be some upcoming VA-related events coming up, so if you come to breakfast, ask one of the officers about what will be coming to Buckhannon soon!

Upshur County residents should report flood-related stream debris blockages to the Tygarts Valley Conservation District at 304-457-3026. Assessments require property owner permission, and culverts or other man-made drainage structures are not eligible.
