Verna Mae Pratt, age 88, of Buckhannon, WV, died Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Crestview Manor in Jane Lew, WV.
She was born November 15, 1937, in Upshur County, WV, a daughter of the late John and Ruth Riggleman Smallridge.
On July 14, 1964, she married Keith Maynard Pratt, who preceded her in death on May 6, 1990.
She is survived by her niece, Sandra Campbell and husband Bill of French Creek, WV; two brothers-in-law, Clyde Campbell of French Creek and Bill Heaster of Weston, WV; several nieces and nephews; and special family, Jennifer Small of French Creek, Emmalee Randolph and husband Trevur of Camp Lejeune, NC, Nevada Tyson of French Creek, Caetta Randolph of Camp Lejeune, Debbie Heater of Weston; and a close special friend, Brenda Hamrick of Buckhannon.
Mrs. Pratt was a caregiver.
Friends will be received for a Memorial Gathering on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday at the funeral home with Pastor David Jessie officiating. In honoring Mrs. Pratt’s will, she will be cremated.
