BUCKHANNON — The UCYS board of directors met last night to set up our spring season. Here are the registration details for the spring 2021 season.

Cost for this spring season will be $45 for all age groups. In an attempt to make the season more affordable we will only be ordering a jersey for each player to cut down on costs. Parents will be responsible for providing black shorts and black socks. Previous uniform shorts will work fine if they have played before.

In-person registration dates and locations are:

  • Tuesday, February 23rd at the Buckhannon Event Center (new armory) 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, February 27th at the Upshur County Public Library 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

A link to register online will be provided probably tomorrow.

All adults entering either building will be required to wear masks. No exceptions per facility rules.

For the season we will follow all U.S. Soccer, West Virginia Youth Soccer and Upshur County Health Department guidelines for COVID. All players must wear a mask to the field and any time they are not on the field. They DO NOT have to wear a mask while they are actively playing or practicing.

Coaches and spectators must wear a mask at ALL TIMES and maintain social distancing on the sidelines. More specific information will be distributed to all coaches and players.

If you are interested in coaching or volunteering send us a message on Facebook and someone will contact you.
