Upshur County Summer Basketball League begins week two play

TENNERTON – Week two kicked off on Tuesday and Wednesday for the Upshur County Summer Basketball League with a trio of games each day.

Tuesday’s first game was TKS Contracting beating CPImagery by a 63-54 score as Shawn Moran led TKS Contracting with 19 points while Joey Baxa had 19 for CPImagery

The second contest was a 61-51 Strategy IT victory over Sam’s Pizza as Tyler Kuhn had a game-high 27 points for Strategy IT while Ian Strader paced Sam’s Pizza with 19 points.

The final game on Tuesday was CEC downing Dairy Queen by a 67-57 score with CEC being led by Dawson Lilly’s 20 points while Dairy Queen was paced by Austin Upton’s game-high 38 points.

On Wednesday, the opener saw Ralph’s Furniture beating Pre Played Media by a 68-53 score as Adrian Summerfield scored 19 points to lead Ralph’s Furniture while Jeff Hayhurst tallied 19 points for Pre Played Media.

Pre Played Media rebounded with a 58-43 win over KBAM Builders in game two as Rye Gadd had 15 points for Pre Played Media while KBAM Builders was led by Tyler Corder’s 14 points.

Ralph’s Furniture came back in the nightcap and posted a 76-64 victory over KBAM Builders with Summerfield scoring a team-best 21 points for Ralph’s Furniture while Corder had a team-high 21 points for KBAM Builders.

Week two was to have continued with a trio of games on Thursday and Friday.
