Upshur County resident makes family travel planning a breeze

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – A few years ago, local travel guru Kimberly Cabrera noticed that friends and family would often turn to her when booking vacations, especially to Walt Disney World, one of the Cabrera family’s favorite destinations.

Now, the lifelong Upshur County resident and Disney expert offers free – yes, FREE – advice and assistance to all local residents looking for stress-free, family travel planning through her small business, Travel Made Magical.

Travel Made Magical is a professional travel advising service that provides clients with an unforgettable experience at locations such as Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Lines, Disneyland, and Universal Studios, among other locations. Cabrera can assist with detailed planning for all-inclusive resorts, cruises, and even car rentals!

“I have enjoyed traveling my entire life,” Cabrera said. “After having children of my own, our family really fell in love with Walt Disney World. We take as many trips as we can squeeze into our schedule.”

As a seasoned Disney traveler, Cabrera knows firsthand all the tips and tricks that first-timers might miss. Now, she shares that expertise of – and passion for – Disney with all her clients, free of charge.

“After extensive research and training [about professional travel advising], I was able to open my own small business, Travel Made Magical,” Cabrera said.

This is an exciting time to get professional travel advice as Disney begins their 50th Anniversary celebration!

“On October 1st, Disney began celebrating their 50th Anniversary. The ‘EARidescent’ celebration will last for 18 months,” Cabrera said. “During this time, the parks and resorts are full of all kinds of new offerings. There will be new merchandise in shops, delicious new treats and more character interactions.”

Other exciting attractions available during this celebration include:

  • A new firework show titled “Enchantment” will be featured each night at Magic Kingdom.
  • Epcot has a new nighttime show titled “Harmonious.”
  • Epcot is the home of a new ride titled “Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.”
  • Gold statues of all of our favorite Disney characters are sprinkled throughout the park.
  • The castle is beautifully decorated in celebration for the anniversary.

With attractions for all ages, Disney truly is a magical place where fairy-tale fun can be enjoyed by all who visit.

“There is truly something for everyone there,” Cabrera said. “My husband and I enjoy exploring the World Showcase in Epcot and tasting all the different foods, while our kids enjoy all the rides. It’s a win/win.”
