BUCKHANNON – The Upshur County Commission voted Thursday to schedule Trick-or-Treat in the county to coincide with the City of Buckhannon.

Commissioners officially set Trick-or-Treat for Oct. 31 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Upshur County, the same timeframe Buckhannon City Council agreed to during their last meeting. 

In other Upshur County Commission news:

  • The commission approved and signed the Management Representation Letter for a Single Audit for the period ending June 30, 2021.
  • The commission approved and signed the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Supplemental Grant #23-SVA-072 Contract Agreement, Resolution, Subgrantee Schedule of Payments and Request for Funds Form for the grant award in the amount of $13,147.
  • The commission approved and signed correspondence to Jade Jones Chickerell regarding improper utilization of commission-owned FEMA property located on Camp Road.
  • The commission approved an advertisement for a full-time Tax Deputy position in the Upshur County Sheriff’s Tax Office. Applications are due by 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 3, 2022.
