UniFirst Corporation takes lead in men’s golf league standings

TENNERTON – Following a week off due to bad weather, the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Men’s Golf League was back in action this Wednesday and a new leader emerged in the standings after week two of fourth-quarter action.

UniFirst Corporation is the new leader after a 17 ½-13 ½ victory over Feola’s Flowers with 37 ½ points.

Lisa Cain Edward Jones, last week’s leader, dropped to second with 34 ½ points after a 19 ½-14 ½ setback to First Community Bank.

Custom Cabinets moved up three spots into third place despite a 16 ½-16 ½ tie with Hank Ellis Insurance with 33 total points.

Baker Tilly remained in fourth place despite a 17 ½-15 loss to Highland Landscaping.

In the other match of the week, Sam’s Pizza defeated High Point Construction by a 19-13 ½ score.

John Moss of Custom Cabinets won Low Actual honors with a 37 while Carl Chidester of Highland Landscaping earned Low Net honors with a 36.
