A toll collector was transported by EMS to CAMC General after an I-beam struck a toll booth Saturday morning on the I-77 Turnpike near mile marker 83.

Cameron Huntington, 28, of Denver, Colorado, was driving a tractor-trailer carrying steel I-beams southbound on the turnpike at approximately 9:16 a.m. Saturday, May 30, according to a press release.

As Huntington drove through Lane 2 at Barrier C, an I-beam struck the toll booth where John Terry, 61, of Gallagher, was collecting tolls.

The booth rocked to the right, causing Terry to fall through the open window. The booth also struck a vehicle in Lane 1.
