Three soccer Bucs land on Big 10 All-Conference team

TENNERTON – Three Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers earned honors on the 2022 Big 10 All-Conference Soccer Team.

Josh Gregory and Dalton Auvil earned First Team honors while Christian Dowell was named to the Second Team.

Gregory made First Team as a defender while Auvil was selected as a keeper.

Dowell earned his Second Team honors as a midfielder.

Gregory played in 19 games and tallied seven goals.

Auvil started all 20 games for the Bucs and made 136 saves for a 1.87 goals against average. He also posted five shutouts.

Dowell played in 18 games and scored three goals and accumulated three assists.

The Bucs compiled a 7-11-2 record.

Fairmont Senior landed four players on the First Team while Grafton and Robert C. Byrd each had three.

Nate Flower of Fairmont Senior was named the Big 10 Conference Player of the Year while Chris Meighen of Robert C. Byrd was named the Big 10 Conference Coach of the Year.
