Thomas Glen Black

Thomas Glen Black, age 76, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Holbrook Healthcare Center in Buckhannon. He was born August 2, 1949, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Glenn and Lillie Miller Black.

He is survived by three children, Angela Fenney and husband John, Ricky Black and wife Kara, and Joshua Black and companion Rachel; four grandchildren, John Harvey Fenney III, Kaylei Fenney, Jacob Fenney, and Daniel Black. He was the youngest of seven siblings and is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Lillian Rose Fenney.

Mr. Black was a handyman by trade and a member of the Buckhannon Moose Lodge #598 and Elks #1736. He was an avid collector of auction items, enjoyed going to yard sales and fishing, and was a devoted Mountaineers fan.

Friends will be received Friday, July 31, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Wease L. Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Tallmansville, WV.
