Thomas Franklin Williams

Thomas Franklin Williams, age 81, of Elkins, died Saturday, December 9, 2023, at United Hospital Center.

He was born on April 18, 1942, in Mishawaka, IN, a son of the late Offie Dale and Mary Dale Haller Williams.

On March 7, 1964, he was united in marriage to Mary Stanton Williams, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters: Angie Kimble and husband Tim of Belington, Diana Williams and Travis Currence of Mill Creek, and Betsy Williams and Chris Rhodes of Elkins; two sons: David Williams of Jane Lew, and Kevin Williams and Elizabeth of Ellamore; 10 grandchildren: Sarah Rolenson, Matt Adams, Erin Williams, Jessica Metz, Jared Martin, Caleb Kimble, Tommy Williams, Bryar Currence, Gavin Martin, and Alayna Kimble; several great grandchildren; three brothers: Charlie Williams and Barbara of Anmoore, Denzil of Alabama, and Bill Williams and Teresa of Walkersville; and two sisters: Edith Stanton and Jim, and Dessie Hederick all of Wheeling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons: Thomas and Franklin Williams; one daughter Kathleen Vance, and a granddaughter Alysha Faith Williams.

Thomas was an avid gardener, hunter, and trader. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved his dog, Gypsy.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday December 13, 2023, from 4 PM – 7 PM at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel. The service will be held Thursday December 14, 2023, at 11 AM at the Funeral Chapel with Rev. Fr. Edward Tetteh, S.V.D. Interment will follow in the St. Vincent’s Catholic Cemetery in Kingsville.
