This week’s Hank Ellis Insurance All-Stars: Jack Waggy and Samantha Shreve

BUCKHANNON – My Buckhannon is proud to present another edition of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week we will select a female and male athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur that has had an exemplary week on the football field, soccer field, volleyball court or the cross country course.

Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of September 25 –October 1 are Jack Waggy and Samantha Shreve.

Waggy is a sophomore on the Buccaneer cross country team. He outran 60 other performers to win the Polar Bear Invitational with a time of 16.17.3. Waggy is ranked 19th in the state in Class AAA.

Shreve is a sophomore on the Lady Buc cross country team. She took second place in the Polar Bear Invitational with a time of 19.05.5. She along, with teammate Lydia Falkenstein, were the only two runners out of 46 to complete the race in under 20 minutes. Shreve is currently ranked 11th in the state in Class AAA.

Congratulations to Waggy and Shreve as our weekly winners of the Hank Ellis All-Stars honor.
