BUCKHANNON – My Buckhannon is proud to present another edition of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week we will select a female and male athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur that has had an exemplary week on the football field, soccer field, volleyball court or the cross country course.
Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of September 5 – September 11 are Savion Farmer and Ava Hollen.
Farmer is a senior tailback for the Buccaneer football team. Last week against Philip Barbour, Farmer ran for 229 yards on 27 carries and scored one touchdown to lead the Bucs to a come-from-behind win over the Colts by a 26-22 score. Farmer helped a Buccaneer ground game that piled up 368 yards. The Bucs are currently 2-1 on the year and ranked 15th in Class AAA.
Hollen is a junior on the Lady Buc soccer team. In a 5-0 win over Grafton last week, Hollen tallied two goals and collected two assists. She has helped the Lady Bucs to a 5-3-2 record.
Congratulations to Farmer and Hollen as our weekly winners of the Hank Ellis All-Stars honor.
