BUCKHANNON – My Buckhannon is proud to present another edition of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week we will select a female and male athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur that has had an exemplary week on the football field, soccer field, volleyball court or the cross country course.

Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of August 15 – August 21 are Parker Lockwood and Ava Hollen.

In a busy week for the B-U golfers, Lockwood led the B-U golfers in a four-team outing at Morgantown with an 87 on Monday and was second on the squad on Tuesday in a dual outing with Preston carding a 47.

In a huge 21-team event in the first annual Big 10/Cardinal Conference Classic, Lockwood was second on the team with a 92.

The golf team will play again Wednesday on the road against Grafton.

Hollen is a junior on the Buckhannon-Upshur soccer team.

Hollen had both goals for the Lady Bucs in a 2-2 tie on Saturday afternoon against Parkersburg. Both of Hollen’s goals occurred in the first half.

The Lady Bucs will be back in action Tuesday at home with the Lewis County Minutemaids.

Congratulations to Lockwood and Hollen as our weekly winners of the Hank Ellis All-Stars honor.
