This week’s Hank Ellis All-Stars: Landon Marple and Kendall Defibaugh

BUCKHANNON – My Buckhannon is proud to present another edition of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week, we will select a female and male athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur who has had an exemplary week on the baseball and softball diamonds, the track and field, the lacrosse field, or the tennis courts.

Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of April 1 – April 7 are Landon Marple and Kendall Defibaugh.

Marple is a junior on the Buccaneer baseball team. On their spring break trip to Myrtle Beach, Marple had two multiple-hit games and hit .313 in five games. He also scored three times and knocked in three runs.

Defibaugh is a senior on the Lady Buc lacrosse team. In their lone game of the week, a 15-1 road win over St. Albans, she led the team with five goals and 11 shots-on-goal. She also won 13 draw controls and was responsible for one caused turnover.

Congratulations to Marple and Defibaugh as our weekly winners of the Hank Ellis All-Stars honor.
