BUCKHANNON – My Buckhannon is proud to present another spring season of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week, we will select a male and female athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur who has had an exemplary week on the baseball or softball diamond, the track, the lacrosse field or the tennis courts.

Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of April 7 – April 13 are Jack Waggy and Rylen Carlyle.

Waggy is a senior on the Buccaneer track and field team. He broke a 30-year old school mark in the 3200 meters at the Harry Green Invitational last Saturday. He broke the record by over six seconds, with a time of 9:45.31.

Carlyle is a sophomore on the Lady Buc track and field team. At the Harry Green Invitational, she won the long jump with a jump of 15-11.50, which was a personal best. She also placed fifth in the 100 meters and was part of the third place 4×200-meter relay team.

Congratulations to Waggy and Caryle as our weekly winners of the Hank Ellis All-Stars honor.
