BUCKHANNON – My Buckhannon is proud to present another edition of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week we will select a female and male athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur that has had an exemplary week on the basketball court, the swimming pool or the wrestling mat.

Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the weeks of Feb. 27 – March 12 are Carter Zuliani and Kenna Maxwell.

Zuliani is a sophomore on the Buccaneer basketball.

In the sectional opener for the Bucs against University, Zuliani had the game-tying basket for B-U in regulation which the Bucs went on to win in overtime by a 60-55 score as he put in 13 points and added five rebounds. In two regional games against Bridgeport and Morgantown, he averaged 7.0 points per game and 6.5 rebounds per game in those two outings.

Maxwell is a junior on the Lady Buc basketball team.

In their regional final outing against Wheeling Park, Maxwell led the Lady Bucs in scoring with 16 points in their loss.
