Thirty-nine people indicted in Upshur County Circuit Court this week

BUCKHANNON – An Upshur County man who allegedly led police on a high-speed chase on Christmas Day with an eight-month-old child lying in the passenger seat next to a loaded firearm was among those indicted Monday and Tuesday in Upshur County Circuit Court.

Craig Allen Stimson, 41, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one count of kidnapping, a felony; one count of use or presentment of a firearm during the commission of a felony, a felony; one count of being a prohibited person in possession of a concealed firearm, a felony; one count of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, a felony; one count of fleeing with reckless indifference to the safety of others, a felony; one count of wanton endangerment involving a firearm, a felony; and one count of brandishing deadly weapons, a misdemeanor.

When police recovered the child following the incident on Dec. 25, 2019, they discovered the infant had been lying unrestrained on the passenger seat of the vehicle next to a silver .40-caliber firearm, which was “loaded with the safety off,” according to the report. Read the original story here.

In total, 39 people were indicted in 41 true bills handed down Tuesday by an Upshur County grand jury. Indictments ranged from drug offenses and burglary to malicious assault and shoplifting.

The following individuals were indicted Monday, June 15, and Tuesday, June 16, according to a media release from Upshur County Prosecuting Attorney Bryan Hinkle’s office:

Robin Ann Criss, 45, of Weston, was indicted on four counts of obtaining money, property and services by false pretenses, a felony.

Stephanie Nicole Green, 33, of French Creek, was indicted on one count of embezzlement, a felony.

Brandon Cole Cartrette, 24, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one count of burglary, a felony, and one count of petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

Robert Page Dowell, 29, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one count of child abuse resulting in injury, a felony, and one count of malicious assault, a felony.

James Andrew Peck, age/residence unlisted, was indicted on one count of failure to provide notice of change in sex offender registration information, life registrant, second offense, a felony.

Michael Byron Norman, 25, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one count of domestic violence, third or subsequent offense, a felony.

Nathaniel Ray Carroll, 29, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one count of entry into a building other than a dwelling, a felony, and one count of petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

Jason Paul Skinner, 40, of Crawford, W.Va., was indicted on one count of strangulation, a felony, and one count of wanton endangerment, a felony.

Gregg Scott Haymond, 47, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one count of driving while license revoked for DUI, third or subsequent offense, a felony, and one count of false evidence, forgery, etc. of title and registration, a felony.

Nathaniel Ray Carroll, 29, of Buckhannon, was also indicted on one count of burglary, a felony, and one count of grand larceny, a felony.

Morgan Moore, 31, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one count of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, with the intent to deliver, a felony; one count of gross child neglect creating a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury, a felony; one count of driving under the influence of controlled substances, a misdemeanor; and one count of driving under the influence of controlled substances with unemancipated minors, a misdemeanor.

Bryan David Shaw, 38, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one count of burglary, a felony; one count of domestic assault, a misdemeanor; one count of petit larceny, a misdemeanor; and one count of destruction of property, a misdemeanor.

Pamela Sue Perrine, 38, of Buckhannon, was indicted on two counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, methamphetamine and marijuana, a felony.

Brandon Alan McCartney, 35, of Buckhannon, was indicted on two counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, heroin and clonazepam, a felony.

Michael Anthony Crytser, 34, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one count of possession of a controlled substance, amphetamine, with the intent to deliver, a felony; one count of counterfeiting, a felony; one count of fleeing from a law enforcement officer, a misdemeanor; one count of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, a misdemeanor; and one count of possession of a controlled substance, Buprenorphine, a misdemeanor.

Dustin Mitchell Hull, 35 of Pickens, W.Va., was indicted on one count of being a prohibited person in possession of a concealed firearm, a felony; one count of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, a felony; and one count of violation of a protective order, a misdemeanor.

Tiara Marie Humphrey, 27, of Crawford, W.Va., was indicted on one count of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, methamphetamine, a felony, and one count of conspiracy, a felony.

Tyler Walter Groves, 38, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one count of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, methamphetamine, a felony, and one count of conspiracy, a felony.

Hunter Ray Shreve, 24, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one count of first-degree arson, a felony; one count of attempting to disarm a law enforcement officer, a felony; and one count of escape from custody, a felony.

Roger Kent Stobart, 43, of Jane Lew, was indicted on one count of taking the identity of another; two counts of forgery of a public record, a felony; two counts of uttering of a public record, a felony; one count of driving while license revoked for DUI, second offense, a misdemeanor; one count of operation of a vehicle without evidence of registration, a misdemeanor; and one count of no insurance, a misdemeanor.

Carol Lynn Fincham, 47, of Mill Creek, W.Va., was indicted on one count of driving under the influence of alcohol, third or subsequent offense, a felony, and one count of driving while license revoked for DUI, first offense, a misdemeanor.

Joseph David Quici, 19, of French Creek, was indicted on 13 counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, a felony; three counts of conspiracy, a felony; three counts of being a prohibited persons in possession of firearms, a misdemeanor; and one count of failure to appear, a felony.

Robert Thomas Quici, 20, of Buckhannon, was indicted on 13 counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, a felony; three counts of conspiracy, a felony; one count of gross child neglect creating substantial risk of serious bodily injury or death, a felony; and three counts of being a prohibited person in possession of firearms, a misdemeanor.

Jesse Todd Miller, 33, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one count of burglary, a felony, and one count of violation of a protective order, a misdemeanor.

Todd Walker Sutton, 39, of Buckhannon, was indicted on two counts of counts of shoplifting, third offense, a felony.

Robert Gavin-Dane Waugh, 22, of Weston, was indicted on three counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, methamphetamine, buprenorphine and marijuana, a felony.

Douglas Lane Dyer, 39, of Weston, was indicted on one count of child neglect creating a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury, a felony.

Cary Lane Bennett, 36, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one count of child neglect creating a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury, a felony, and one count of possession of a controlled substance, heroin, a misdemeanor.

Lisa Ann Heaster, 46, of Huttonsville, was indicted on three counts of shoplifting, third offense, a felony.

Timothy Ray Spangler Jr., 34, of Buckhannon, was indicted on two counts of domestic violence, third or subsequent offense, a felony; one count of malicious assault, a felony; and one count of attempted strangulation, a felony.

Christopher Robert Taylor, 45, of Grafton, was indicted on one count of fleeing with reckless indifference to the safety of others, a felony, and one count of fleeing from a law enforcement officer by means other than the use of a vehicle, a misdemeanor.

Owen Benson Coffey Jr., 19, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one count of malicious assault, a felony.

Nathaniel Ray Carroll, 29, of Buckhannon, was indicted on two counts of grand larceny, a felony, and one count of damage to real or personal property used for producing, generating, transmitting, distributing, treating or collecting natural gas, a misdemeanor.

Adam Scott Heater, 26, of Charleston, was indicted on one count of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, methamphetamine, a felony, and one count of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana.

Joseph Brian Kelley, 21, of Buckhannon was indicted on one count of attempt to commit grand larceny, a felony.

Lonny Junior Scott, 48, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one count of fleeing with reckless indifference to the safety of others, a felony, and one count of driving while license revoked for DUI, third or subsequent offense, a felony.

Barry Wayne Beckner, 39, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one count of fleeing with reckless indifference, a felony, and one count of driving while license revoked for DUI, second offense, a misdemeanor.

Heather Suzanne Lawrence, 48, of Rock Cave, was indicted on two counts of entry of building other than a dwelling, a felony; four counts of grand larceny, a felony; two counts of petit larceny, a misdemeanor; and two counts of conspiracy, a felony.

John Anthony Lawrence, 32, of Rock Cave, was indicted on two counts of entry of building other than a dwelling, a felony; four counts of grand larceny, a felony; two counts of petit larceny, a misdemeanor; and two counts of conspiracy, a felony.

Travis Wayne McQuain, 38, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one count of fraudulent schemes, a felony.

Christian Tyler Jarrell, 21, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one count of attempt to commit grand larceny, a felony; one count of conspiracy, a felony; one count of fleeing from a law enforcement officer, a misdemeanor.
