Sylvia Ann Wolford

Sylvia Ann Wolford, age 59, of Buckhannon, WV, died Monday, May 26, 2025, at her home.

She was born October 11, 1965, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Thomas and Sylvia Jean Beckner Wolford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Wolford, II and Larry Wolford, and two sisters, Patricia and Debra Wolford.

She is survived by six children: James Linville, Jr., and wife Maryanne; Kacie Linville and husband Raymond Ross; Rebecca Linville and companion T.T., all of Cedar Grove, WV; Christopher Linville and wife Kylee of Charleston, WV; Shawn Linville of Cedar Grove; and Kimberly Linville and companion Cameron Romer of Buckhannon.

She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four brothers, Robert and Terry Wolford both of Buckhannon, Carroll Wolford and wife Betty, and Gary Wolford and wife Miley all of Buckhannon; two sisters, Tanya Horn of Buckhannon and Vinnie Sprouse and husband Hansel of Clarksburg, WV; numerous nieces and nephews; and her companion, Joseph Johnson of Buckhannon.

Mrs. Wolford was a homemaker.

Friends will be received Monday, June 2, 2025, from 1 PM to 2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Cemetery in Buckhannon.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
