MORGANTOWN – Preston Bennett won two events and Carter Zuliani one and a relay team was victorious for the Buckhannon-Upshur swim Bucs at the 12-team Mohawk Invitational this past Saturday at Mylan Park.

Bennett claimed the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:06.07 and the 100-yard freestyle with a clocking of 50.07.

Zuliani won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.12 and was second in the 100-yard freestyle behind Bennett with a clocking of 53.60.

The relay win belonged to Reis Leonard, Owen Caynor, Zuliani, and Bennett in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:37.02.

Leonard took runner-up honors in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:04.58.

The foursome of Leonard, Caynor, Zuliani and Bennett placed third in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:43.23.

The Bucs finished fifth overall with 191 points.

Parkersburg won the team title with 501 points while Morgantown was second with 324, Wheeling Park was third with 261 and Winfield was fourth with 223.

The Bucs were slated to in a dual meet with Elkins on Wednesday.

They will return to action next Saturday at Shepherd University in the Berkley County Invitational.
