Strawberry Festival seeks open case performers

The West Virginia Strawberry Festival is seeking open case performers for the 2019 festival.

Do you want to show off your talent and raise money for your favorite cause? Contact Kristy Spencer at 304-516-1751 or through Facebook messenger to reserve a spot on Main Street to perform May 11 prior to the Horse and Carriage Parade.

The festival has numerous activities planned that day to bring people to town and would love to have some great entertainment for them to enjoy. They’re looking for music, dancing, face painting and other interesting people to showcase on Main Street.

Wesleyan tennis teams sweep Shaw

West Virginia Wesleyan closed its Carolina swing with a sweep of Shaw, as the men rolled 7-0 and the women won 5-2. The Bobcats vaulted into the ITA Top 50, with the men at No. 39 and the women at No. 46—Wesleyan’s first women’s ranking since 2010.
