Stop into The Clothes Spin Laundromat on Brushy Fork Road and give it a whirl

Todd and Jessica Foster recently opened The Clothes Spin Laundromat, a full-service laundry mat on Brushy Fork Road.

BUCKHANNON – Looking for a local place to do your laundry?

Well, look no further: Now, there’s a new laundromat in Buckhannon where you can ‘suds your duds.’

The Clothes Spin Laundromat, located at 1480 Brushy Fork Road next to Brushy Fork Mart, opened July 25, and folks have been spinning in and out, doing their laundry in the new facility. Owners Todd and Jessica Foster said the idea to add a laundromat to the area came from the suggestions of folks stopping in their other business, the Brushy Fork Mart LLC.

“People would stop by and ask for change and say they were going to go to Weston or Elkins to the laundromat,” Todd said. “Many folks said they wished for a place to clean their clothes closer to home or said they would like to have a local drop-off service so they could spend time with their families on Sunday instead of spending time doing laundry.”

So, the Fosters made the decision to open The Clothes Spin Laundromat. Todd said they are just getting started, and in the next few weeks, they’ll be adding a drop-off service – also known as a ‘fluff-and-fold service’ – as one of the features of the new business.

“Younger folks want to spend time with their families,” he said. “I think this will be a popular service. I know I would rather do things with my wife and kids on Sundays rather than be stuck home doing laundry. But a drop-off service is a great option for people of any age.”

Todd and Jessica said the details of the drop-off service will be released soon, along with the laundromat’s phone number. Both agreed customers will be very happy with their fluff-and-fold service, adding the cost is affordable.

“It’s worth every penny in the amount of time savings,” they said.

“We do want everyone to know that we will be using separate washers and dryers for our drop-off service, so it will not take away from the machines offered at The Clothes Spin Laundromat,” Todd said. “We have been approached by several businesses and families who want to utilize our fluff-and-fold service.”

The drop-off fluff-and-fold service isn’t just for clothes. Jessica said they’ll accept blankets, quilts and other large items to launder that don’t fit in some home washing machines and dryers.

The Clothes Spin Laundromat has everything folks are looking for – pristine new Speed Queen washers and dryers, including eight gas dryers, five heavy-duty washing machines, three large washing machines and a huge space for folding. They have large-wheeled clothes baskets that can be easily transported out to customers’ cars, making the loading of fresh, clean laundry into vehicles much easier.

“We also have a folding table that sits at the right height and is ADA-accessible,” Todd said. “We have a ramp from the parking lot up into the laundromat as well.”

The Fosters said that there is plenty to do in their waiting area while clothes are washing.

“We have a table and an area to sit that has video games to play,” Todd said. Jessica said they’ll soon be adding Wi-Fi so customers can check their emails while washing their clothes.

Like every full-service laundromat, they sell handy small boxes of laundry soap and dryer sheets. They also have a bill changer that will give quarters for $1, $5, $10 and $20.

Todd said he thinks local people will appreciate there being a full-service laundromat and drop-off service available in Upshur County.

Todd said he and Jessica wanted to thank their family and friends and everyone in the area for putting up with any inconvenience they experienced while utilities were being extended to The Clothes Spin Laundromat location.

“We appreciate everyone’s patience,” he said. “We hope folks will stop by and take advantage of our new service.”

The Clothes Spin Laundromat is open everyday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
