Stonewall Resort to host Kentucky Derby celebration May 3

Stonewall Resort will host a lakeside Kentucky Derby celebration on May 3 featuring race viewing, games, a four-course Woodford bourbon dinner, live jazz, contests for best hat and outfit, and overnight packages.

Stonewall Resort will host the Kentucky Derby Day Winner’s Circle event – a unique Derby Day experience filled with Southern charm, culinary delights, and classic Derby traditions – lakeside on Saturday, May 3rd.

“Don your Derby hats and festive outfits and join us for what promises to be a fun celebration of “the most exciting two minutes in sports”, said Andre’ D’Amour, general manager at Stonewall Resort. “The event features a social hour, race watch party and four-course dinner and bourbon tasting.”

D’Amour said the event will capture the excitement of the race with big-screen viewing of the Derby, lively games, and signature mint juleps. The festivities kick off with a social hour at TJ Muskies, where attendees can enjoy cocktails, bourbon tastings, and spirited Derby games hosted by Lee Dean.

Following the race, guests will be escorted to a scenic outdoor dining area (weather permitting) to savor a four-course pairing dinner featuring Woodford Bourbons, accompanied by live jazz entertainment from Byron 66. The evening also includes a “best hat” and “best dressed” contest, so guests are encouraged to wear their finest Derby attire for a chance to win prizes.

Event packages include overnight accommodations in Stonewall Resort’s lakeside lodge, two event tickets, entertainment, the four-course Woodford pairing dinner, and one drink ticket per person. A cash bar will also be available throughout the evening.
