Stonewall Resort announces full lineup of signature January events

Stonewall Resort kicks off January with immersive lakeside events, from Bonfires & Bourbon tastings (Jefferson’s Jan. 9; Smooth Ambler Jan. 23) to a nostalgic doo-wop dinner show.

Stonewall Resort is kicking off the new year with a full calendar of immersive culinary and entertainment experiences throughout January, featuring bourbon and tequila tastings, a nostalgic doo-wop dinner show, a Cellar-to-Table dining experience and a high-energy dueling pianos performance.

January Bourbon Under the Stars

On January 9 and again on January 23, Stonewall Resort will host its popular Bonfires & Bourbon evenings, inviting guests to sip premium bourbons under the winter sky along the lakeside. The January 9 event will showcase Jefferson’s Bourbon, known for boundary-pushing aging techniques including barrels aged at sea, while the January 23 event will feature Smooth Ambler, a West Virginia producer recognized nationally for its Old Scout line.

Doo-Wop Dinner Show Experience

On January 10, guests can step back in time with the Doowop & Dinner Show, featuring Lee Dean & Friends and The Venturas from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The lively doo-wop group will bring the unforgettable sound of the late 1950s and early 1960s to life, complete with smooth harmonies, timeless hits and an atmosphere that encourages guests to dress in era-inspired attire. This package includes a three-course dinner with communal table seating.

Tequila Pairing Dinner

On January 24 from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m., Stonewall Resort will present an elevated Tequila Pairing Dinner showcasing Código Tequila. Guests will enjoy tequila tastings and an additional drink paired with a four-course menu inspired by vibrant Latin flavors, served against the backdrop of the resort’s winter lakeside setting.

The menu features fire-roasted corn and avocado salad, seared chili lime shrimp skewers, ancho-crusted beef and chicken medallions with accompaniments and a cinnamon cheesecake with sopapillas for dessert.

Cellar to Table Dinner

On January 31 at 6 p.m., Stonewall Resort will host the Cellar-to-Table Dinner, a curated dining experience that celebrates Appalachian-inspired flavors and locally sourced ingredients. This special event is part of the West Virginia State Parks Cellar-to-Table Dinner Series and will be held in Stillwaters at Stonewall Resort State Park.

The menu includes dishes such as gnocchi and fried Brussels sprouts with blackberry butternut purée, local sausage and kale soup, Allegheny Forest and Stream smoked trout, venison and pork terrine with savory bread pudding and pickled vegetables and a West Virginia peach crème brûlée. Tickets are limited, and reservations are required by calling 304-269-7400.

High-Energy Dueling Pianos Finale

Stonewall Resort will also feature Dueling Pianos from 8 to 11 p.m. on January 31. This high-energy, interactive show — where the audience helps pick the playlist — features two pianists performing crowd-favorite hits spanning artists like Billy Joel, Bon Jovi, Britney Spears and Bruno Mars, creating an evening of singing, dancing and laughter.
