St. Joseph’s Hospital recognizes Medical Laboratory Professionals Week April 24-30

BUCKHANNON — St. Joseph’s Hospital is recognizing its laboratory staff during National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week April 24 through April 30.

It is an annual celebration of the vital role that medical laboratory professionals and pathologists play in health care and patient advocacy. Over the past two years, clinical laboratory professionals have shown extraordinary dedication in the fight against COVID-19. Their commitment and hard work during this difficult time has made a significant difference in the lives of many people.

Medical Laboratory Professionals Week originated in 1975 as National Medical Laboratory Week, or NMLW, under the auspices of the American Society for Medical Technology, now called the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS).
