BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — St. Joseph’s Hospital is recognizing their Physicians Assistants as they celebrate National PA Week October 6 to 12.

The first celebration was held on October 6, 1987 in honor of the 20th anniversary of the first graduating class of PAs. October 6 is also the birthday of the profession’s founder Eugene A. Stead Jr., MD.

The recognition week is especially significant as it falls during a global pandemic. PA’s are a valuable part of patient care and during this challenging time have proven themselves to be flexible, collaborative and above all essential.  t. Joseph’s Hospital thanks all of their PA’s for their hard work and commitment.
