St. Joseph’s Hospital celebrates Environmental Services Week

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. –St. Joseph’s Hospital is celebrating Environmental Services Week (EVSW) September 13 to 19.

Held every year during the second week in September, EVSW is a week dedicated to recognizing the efforts of hard-working environmental service professionals.  These staff members ensure that the hospital and clinics meet rigorous cleaning and sanitizing standards through the extraordinary teamwork required to care for the complex health care environment.

The clinical and support services teams all depend on the critical, yet often unsung, role environmental services plays in maintaining a high-quality patient and resident care environment.

“Our Environmental Services team is one of the best I have seen,” said Skip Gjolberg, St. Joseph’s Hospital President.  “We often hear from the community that our hospital is one of the cleanest that they have seen and this is because of the dedication of our staff.”
