St. Joseph’s Hospital cancels Sept. 11 blood screenings, citing COVID surge

BUCKHANNON — St. Joseph’s Hospital is cancelling the blood screening scheduled for Saturday, September 11th due to the increase in COVID infections.

The hospital is at critical levels with COVID patients. Staffing is needed elsewhere in the hospital to ensure that it continues to provide care for those needing emergency and critical care.

We hope to be able to provide the blood screenings on upcoming dates but that will be contingent on the status of COVID and emergency operations. So please check media outlets and the hospital’s Facebook page for announcements concerning future blood screenings.
