TENNERTON – A strong defensive effort led the Buckhannon-Upshur soccer Lady Bucs to a solid 1-0 win over the George Washington Patriots in non-conference action Saturday morning at the high school.

Buckhannon-Upshur keeper Kyndal Davis made one save while Oriah Allen stopped seven shots for George Washington.
George Washington dropped to 5-4 on the year after seeing their five game-winning streak come to an end.

They will return to action Tuesday hosting Liberty at 5:30 p.m.
