Soccer Little Bucs tie East Fairmont while Little Lady Buc fall to Hornets

FAIRMONT – The Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School Little Bucs and Little Lady Bucs earned a tie and a loss on the road to the East Fairmont Hornets Friday evening.

The Little Lady Bucs dropped a 2-0 decision while the Little Bucs fought to a 2-2 deadlock.

For the Little Lady Bucs, they managed seven shots but were never able to find the back of the net. They trailed at the half by a 2-0 score and the contest remained that way at the end as neither team was able to score in the second half.

Little Lady Buc keeper Hannah Kelley made eight stops.

The Little Lady Bucs are now 1-1 on the year.

For the Little Bucs, their game was tied at the half with a 1-1 score and both teams scored a goal in the second half for the 2-2 tie.

Brant Mills and Brody Wright each had a goal for the Little Bucs.

B-UMS keeper Landon Wright made five saves.

The Little Bucs own a 0-1-1 record.

Both teams will be in action on Tuesday at Washington Irving with the girls starting at 6 p.m. while the boys will play at 7:30 p.m.
