TENNERTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School boys’ soccer team went 0-1-1 in a pair of games last week.
Last Monday, they dropped a 5-1 road decision to Washington Irving but came back to tie Taylor County on Tuesday by a 2-2 score in a home outing.
In Monday’s loss, Riel Figueroa had the lone goal for the Little Bucs which occurred in the 22nd minute.
The Little Bucs had seven shots on goal in the loss while Washington Irving had 13 shots.
In the net for the Little Bucs, Michael Tracy made three saves while Chase Wayne made one stop.
In their 2-2 tie with Taylor County, Figueroa and Brady Hommema had scores for Buckhannon-Upshur.
Figueroa’s goals came in the 15th minute while Hommema’s score occurred in the 56th minute.
The Little Bucs had 20 shots while Taylor County had 10.
Tracy made four saves in net for the Little Bucs.
The action left the Little Bucs with a 1-5-2 record.
They will close out their season Monday, Oct. 18, hosting Elkins.
