ELKINA –The West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcat women’s soccer managed just a single goal while giving up eight in a week of matches on the road, falling 1-0 to Glenville State University, Wednesday and 7-1 to Davis and Elkins College, Saturday.
West Virginia Wesleyan College’s Natalia Roppolo notched her first goal of the season and the Lady ‘Cats only score in the two-match stretch against Davis and Elkins. The Senators outshot the visitors 21-8 while forcing 10 saves on Wesleyan keeper Paige Miller.
Shots were limited in the match against Glenville as the Pioneers directed nine shots on goal to the Bobcats’ four.
Another MEC challenge awaits the Wesleyan women when the team hosts Notre Dame College (Ohio) Wednesday at Culpepper Stadium for a 5 p.m. kickoff.
