Soccer Lady Bucs earn 2-2 tie with Parkersburg

TENNERTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur soccer Lady Bucs opened their home campaign with a 2-2 tie with the Parkersburg Big Red Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Bucs took a 2-1 lead at the half after two goals from Ava Hollen.

Peyton Harvey had the first-half goal for Parkersburg.

The Lady Bucs had the win taken away from them when Parkersburg’s Audriana Medina scored a goal late in the second half tying the game at 2-2.

The Lady Bucs trailed in shots-on-goal by a 9-7 margin and trailed in corner kicks by a 6-3 margin.

Kyndal Davis made seven stops in net for the Lady Bucs while Kaleigh Rexroad stopped five shots for Parkersburg.

The Lady Bucs are now 0-1-1 on the year as they head into their Tuesday battle with the Lewis County Minutemaids at 7:30 p.m.
