Despite playing with 10 men for the last 20 minutes of the game, the West Virginia Wesleyan College men’s soccer team knocked off MEC neighbor Davis and Elkins by a count of 1-0 on Thursday.
Nika Monaselidze had the game’s only goal in the 64th minute on an assist by Lauri Vasa. Wesleyan held on for the win after losing a player to a red card about five minutes later.
The ‘Cats improve to 5-2-1 on the season. They’ll next be in action on Wednesday when they travel to conference newcomer Frostburg State.
