Shanna Glyn Ericsson

Shanna Glyn Ericsson, age 75, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born May 27, 1949, a daughter of the late Luella Milliser England. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by one son, Marc Pittman.

She is survived by four children, Eric Harkness of Woodbury, MN, Rachel Pittman of Aurora, MO, Richard Pittman and Robin Rain Cripps; caregiver and best friends, Tony and Maria Metzler of Buckhannon and friends, Virginia and Sal Carmona of Buckhannon.

Mrs. Ericsson served in the US Navy. She was an accomplished author with three published books and was one of the first women race car drivers. She was a devout Catholic who attended the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Buckhannon. In addition to her family, she also loved her cats.

In honoring Mrs. Ericsson’s wishes, she will be cremated. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at a later date at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Buckhannon.
