Several Upshur County students named to WVU Dean’s List, President’s List

West Virginia University has released its academic honors for the fall 2018 semester.

A total of 2,296 students were named to the President’s list after receiving a perfect 4.0 grade point average. Upshur County students on the President’s List:

  • Lily Hicks, of Buckhannon, Strategic Communications
  • Jordan Lofton, of Buckhannon, World Lang, Lit & Linguistics
  • Emma Loudin, of Buckhannon, Pre-Occupational Therapy
  • Steven Nanners, of Buckhannon, Biology
  • Branden Newcome, of Ellamore, Mechanical Engineering
  • Taylor Powell, of Buckhannon, Pre-Speech Path & Aud
  • Sebastian Reger, of Buckhannon, Computer Engineering
  • Christopher Tonkin, of Buckhannon, Engineering Track 1
  • Morgan Widmer, of French Creek, Fashion, Dress, and Merchandising
  • Joanne Williams, of French Creek, Elementary Education

A total of 3,730 students were named to the Dean’s list for fall 2018. Those on the Dean’s list received a 3.5 GPA or higher.
