Sam’s Pizza takes over first place in Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League

TENNERTON – It was a big week for Sam’s Pizza in the third week of the second quarter in the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League.

Sam’s Pizza took over first place in the league moving up from second place after a dominant 26-14 win over last week’s leader High Point Construction.

Sam’s Pizza is in first with 73 points while High Point Construction dropped all the way to fifth place with 63 points.

Sealcoat Concepts also had a big week sliding into second place with 70 points after a 24 1/2-15 ½ victory over Feola’s Flowers.

Highland Landscaping moved up three spots into third place with 64 ½ points after a convincing 24-16 win over Baker Tilly.

Hank Ellis Insurance improved one spot up to fourth with 64 points after earning a 21 ½-18 ½ victory over Custom Cabinets.

In the other match of the week, First Community Bank downed Lisa Cain Edward Jones by a 24 ½-15 ½ score.

John Mathias of Highland Landscaping earned Low Actual honors with a 36 and Low Net honors with a 29.
