Ronda Brown receives employee honor at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital

Ronda Brown

WESTON, W.Va. – Ronda Brown, Environmental Services Manager, has been selected as the Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital ICARE Champion of the Month for January 2023. She began her employment at the hospital in 1992.

Nominations for the monthly honor are based on the Mon Health System Values, ICARE, which stands for Integrity, Commitment, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.

Ronda’s nominator wrote, “Ronda has been a long-term employee who has poured her heart and soul into the running of her department. She and her employees are some of the best customer service we have at SJMH. Under her tutelage, the staff provide the pleasant care and responses to every patient they encounter. The EVS department does a terrific job in keeping a 50-year-old building clean and tidy. This department has some of the longest-termed employees who devote themselves to SJMH and this is thanks in part to Ronda’s leadership. She always has a smile on her face with employees, patients, and visitors. When requested to do anything extra with cleaning of the environment, she is more than willing to put a shine on our facility.

“We have a real family feeling here at Stonewall. We are a small, rural hospital treating our family and friends. It is so nice to work in that close-knit family atmosphere,” said Ronda.

Ronda is a graduate of Fairmont State University with an associate degree in Business Administration. Ronda, her fiancé, and her son live in Upshur County. She is a Lewis County High School graduate and basketball standout.
