Robert ‘Rob’ Norman Hull

Robert “Rob” Norman Hull, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019.

He blessed this Earth and the lives of his parents when he was born in Oxford, Ohio on Oct. 3, 1959. His parents Donovan Hull and Dixie Fisher Hull survive him.

On April 19, 2018 he married Megan Murray, and she will miss him beyond measure.

Rob’s beautiful free spirit will be remembered by two children: Ethan Hull of Buckhannon and Emily Cochran and husband, Seth, Pittsburgh, Pa.; two step children: Max Byron and Felix Byron both of Morgantown; two siblings: David Hull and wife, Roseanne, of St. Paul, Minn., and Amy Hull of Jacksonville, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.

Rob earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts and Masters in Philosophy from Hamlin University. He continued on to receive a Doctorate in Philosophy from Kansas University. Rob became a college professor in 1994 and achieved Professor of the Year in 2007. He spent the last 22 years teaching at West Virginia Wesleyan College.

Spending time at the gym jogging and lifting weights was Rob’s favorite pastime. He also enjoyed playing tennis and cherished his time spent at the family beach cottage at Carolina Beach, NC with his family.

Rob’s request for cremation has been honored and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at noon in the West Virginia Wesleyan College Chapel on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019.
